With over 25 years of experience, Erica Edmands is a trusted leader in trauma informed workplace investigations, cultural reviews, independent child safeguarding, FDV prevention. As an accredited mediator, equity and diversity lawyer, and experienced NED, she brings multifaceted expertise to complex organisational challenges.
Erica’s expertise in governance, risk, and safety focuses on preventing gendered violence and fostering inclusive workplaces. As a Certified Team Dynamics Facilitator of Own Your Armor™, she brings strategic insight and psychologically safe learning experiences to transformative workshops on inclusion, respect, and conflict resolution. Her evidence-based approach empowers leaders to build environments where psychological safety, inclusion and wellbeing thrive.
With degrees in law and labour relations/economics from University of Melbourne (Erica holds a current practicing certificate), as well as coaching certifications, post graduate qualifications in finance, MHFA, MARAM (FDV prevention), HBDI and Genos EI, and as an AMDRAS accredited mediator Erica has 25 years business experience spanning law, professional services, government, banking, financial services, NFP and manufacturing.
Commencing her career as an EEO and Diversity Lawyer with Freehills, Erica later held Head of Human Resources roles with Comalco Smelting and Minter Ellison and was an Associate Director of one Australia's leading work life and diversity consultancies, working within Australia and Asia. For the last 10 years Erica has been principal of Inclusion@work and a partner at En Masse and Regs and Corporate Advisory.
A sought after facilitator, workplace investigator, and speaker on diversity, , Erica has appeared on ABC radio and television; written many opinion pieces for major newspapers and journals; and appeared as a speaker/chair at many conferences in Australia and in Asia.
Erica has particular experience in complex and sensitive investigations for Boards, CEOs and senior executives. She is an expert facilitator and workshop content designer, with particular expertise in inclusive leadership and conflict resolution programs.
As an investigator, Erica has particular experience in dealing with complex sexual harassment and misconduct investigations Specialties: workplace investigations (bullying, harassment, discrimination, inappropriate behaviour), mediation, conflict resolution and active upstander training programs, inclusion and diversity; workplace training and facilitation in EEO, bullying/harassment, inclusive leadership, FDV prevention, psychological safety and creating safe, productive, inclusive cultures.
